I don’t usually get aroused immediately by a toy, but the Oliver James Large Wand Massager got me going right away. The large wand is large, nearly a foot long, making it oddly so comfortable to use. At first, I thought it looked a little gimmicky. It’s long, the handle is coated in shiny plastic, and it’s just so big it’s almost cartoonish. However, the neck is flexible, the silicone on the head is divine, and the vibrations are so strong I could feel them through my pants. The longer, curved handle on this model allows you to hold with your palm facing any direction, making the device super easy on your wrist - which is usually the first point of discomfort for me. I also found it super easy to use, from the buttons to the toy's ability to massage such a large area. I also used it to massage out shin splints and tight calves from running - something I’ve never considered doing - but it totally worked. This is truly a full-body massager.

However, the diagonal ribbing on the handle makes finding the buttons difficult and can turn an attempt to adjust intensity or vibration pattern into a lost orgasm. Slightly making up for the confusing texture, the Ava VIVV features 20 vibration patterns and 8 intensities. I say ‘slightly’ because at least 10 of the 20 vibration patterns are redundant. Their slight differences offer the nuance needed for precise pleasure, and taking a few extra minutes to cycle through and find the right one isn’t the worst way to spend your time. The only other hitch in this device is that it resumes whatever intensity and pattern you used before when you turn it on. Sometimes, this is great. Other times, it’s nice to reset and start out easy.

The Iroha Stick has a shocking amount of power and is cleverly designed. But it’s too gimmicky for my taste. Overall, it’s a simple mini bullet vibrator designed to look like lipstick. I don’t think it’s fooling anyone, although if someone found it in my bag, it might take them a moment to realize. The head of the stick is angled like lipstick but has a small fork like a snake's tongue at its end. The angle and fork really elevate the toy as a whole. The Stick packs a punch, it can ramp up quite a bit. I’d say the equivalent of a three or a four on a regular-sized toy. It is battery powered and claims to be waterproof–I’ll get into that later in the review. For what it is, a lipstick vibrator, it’s great. We all have our own kitsch thing that will always get our attention. Lipstick vibrators aren’t mine, so I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this one again. However, it would be a fun gift for a bachelorette party or something similar!

The moment I opened this toy I was in love! The design and packaging are adorable. This toy is a collaboration with the lovely actress Kiko Mizuhara. I've seen a lot of lipstick vibrators, but this is the first I've seen that was so realistic. Though a charging time is nowhere to be found, the device can be used for 120 minutes and has an IPX7 rating which blows my mind! This has more electronics than the other Pure Envy toys I have, but is the only one among them that's capable of being fully submersed in a tub! Despite its name being Serenity, I would not call the sounds it makes serene in the least. The vibrations sound a bit intense and obnoxious which kind of breaks the mood in a sensual sense, but I could somehow tolerate and overlook if it means that my neck, shoulders, and back feel better lol. This device is pretty awesome overall for what it is and what it's capable of, but I think I would put it with my Ava Evo and Shibari Halo and use it as a genuine every day massager more than I'd ever use it as a "personal" one.

However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.

Holy moly! Ok, I LOVE this toy! It's well made, HUGE, and gives you a wide variety of vibe patterns. Only thing I found annoying is when I was sharing control with a friend it worked fine when the toy was in my hand, but didn't connect properly when I had the plug inside me, not sure why.

The three button control system was intuitive, and it was easy to go back and forth between vibration intensities. This toy was very rumbly as opposed to buzzy, and the higher settings proved to be very intense. This wand was on the heavier side, and it was a little difficult to hold in place for long periods of time. Since the user has full control in terms of intensity, it was very easy to edge with this device. It took me like 30 minutes to reach an orgasm which is great because I tend to relish in my intimate experiences.

All in all, it’s a quick, compact vibrator that gets the job done and deserves a space in your bedside table or handbag.
